Good one piece folk art cane in fruitwood with carved fist handle.
Profusely carved along the entire length with:
1. Show jumper and horse clearing a fence
2. Crocodile
3. Lioness
4. Hippopotamus
5. Panther
6. Fox and bird of prey
7. Dog and Cat
8. Gorilla
9. Snake curling up entire length of shaft
Towards the bottom of the stick, the word “Gwalia” is carved (Gwalia is an archaic Welsh name for Wales. It derives from the Medieval Latin Wallia, which in turn is a Latinisation of the English 'Wales').
Towards the top of the stick, is the date 1938.
Some minor losses to the outer bark, which forms the snakes’ body
