A most impressive and finely constructed large, early 19th Century inlaid mahogany Wheel Barometer. The large ‘swan-neck’ pediment with brass paterae, over trunk, of well-patinated figured mahogany, banded in kingwood and strung in ebony and boxwood. The case flanked by large brass columns and inset with detachable, well engraved silvered brass mercury Fahrenheit thermometer and large [12 in. / 31 cm] barometer dial, profusely engraved with floral designs and signed by the maker. [Height 43 in / 110cm]
