An unusual French mantel clock. It has an ebonised central section, mounted by a bronze sculpture of a young grape picker. The base, sides and top are mounted by gesso gilt mouldings. It has a white enamel dial, which is signed by the original well known retailer, Dent of Paris (and London). - suppliers of the clock at The Palace of Westminster (Big Ben).
The clock has an 8 day movement that strikes the hours and halves on a gong,has a silk suspension and is again signed Dent.

The case is in original condition, some gesso has been repaired around the dial. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
