A fine George I period walnut kneehole desk with a quarter veneered walnut top which is crossbanded and has herringbone inlays. There is a full width frieze drawer above a smaller central drawer and a door opening cupboard with H hinges below. To either side there is a bank of three drawers. The sides are also veneered in walnut and the piece is raised on its four original bracket feet.

Depth: 19 ¼ in (49 cm)

* Well-drawn kneehole desks of good proportions and with such ‘untouched’ patination and all original brasses and feet are comparatively rare.
