This superb burr and highly figured walnut cabinet on secretaire chest C.1730, is just exquisite. Remarkably, the cabinet has survived in totally original condition, including all of its gilded and chased brass furniture. - Benjamin Goodison supplied something similar to the royal household in 1730. He invoiced ''A walnut tree cabinet with large glass in the doors and a writing part to pull out and drawers below it'' This style of cabinet was popular amongst the Royal Palaces from 1715 -1740.
