A good George II mahogany compact kneehole desk of good colour & patina. The solid rectangular top with ovolo moulded edge and re-entrant corners over a long oak lined & quadrant beaded frieze drawer with brass plate handles. Below a shaped apron drawer with cupboard compartment below, bordered either side by three further drawers. The desk stands on four shaped bracket feet to the front and two to the rear, attached to each side original brass plate carry handles. The kneehole has excellent compact dimensions being only 30” wide, it has a good colour and patina and we believe it retains its original brassware, locks and feet.
Excellent. Minor restorations, cleaning and waxing. Brassware, feet and locks believed to be original.
