A George II games table, circa 1750, constructed from good quality solid mahogany. The table follows a typical form of the period with bold cabriole legs terminating on elegant proud standing pad feet. One leg swings open to support the top, which has candle stands and guinea or counter trays as well as a card drawer which is oak lined with a later handle. The table has good original pagination which means that there are colour differences throughout. Most notably the top has a mellow golden hue whilst the legs retain a darker colour. The table is in good 'country house' condition which means that there are some scuffs, bumps and minor veneer cracks. The green baize dates from the late19th century and as such a little tired but we decided to retain it as it has a more period look.
