A good sized and excellent quality antique sterling salver of circular form by this specialist salver maker. The central decoration is original and has a beautifully hand chased border of deep relief flowers, scrolls and fish scale. This is complemented by a large central armorial hand engraved within a finely decorated cartouche. The shaped exterior border is shell mounted and has small antique faces which match the face in the armorial decoration. Heavy gauge silver. Weight 1907 grams, 61.3 troy ounces. Diameter 39 cms. This handsome salver is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. The silver marks are clear and easy to read. The hand chasing is deep and fine quality. The hand engraved armorial is very fine quality and generally crisp with a little wear on the outer edge.
