A good antique sterling silver bullet shape teapot. Lovely plain shape with a straight spout and engraved decoration to the upper body and lid. Generally speaking bullet teapots were only made during the George II period. Weight 372 grams, 11.9 troy ounces. Height 12.5 cms. Spread 20.5cms. London 1749. Maker David Hennell I (see mark in Jacksons p.194).
This pretty teapot is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The silver marks are clear and easy to read, with the exception of the date letter "O" which is faint and appears underneath the lion mark; the lid is marked with the lion. The engraved decoration is still clear, the engraving is probably original with possible later additions.

Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
