A delightful pair of antique sterling silver scallop shell dishes with an applied gadroon border. Excellent quality. With the traces of a crest of a boar engraved to the top of the hand grip. Lovely simple design. Pretty little whelk shell feet. Excellent condition and good gauge silver. Weight 256 grams, 8.2 troy ounces. Height 5 cms. Top measures 14.5 x 12.5. London 1759. Maker Henry Bailey.
These lovely shells are in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Good gauge silver. Matching silver marks – these are not well struck but are easily read. The hand engraved crests are worn. There are a few very minor dinks.

Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
