A charming antique sterling silver pepper caster of plain baluster form with a pull off cover pierced and criss-cross engraved. Good colour. To the front there is a large hand engraved armorial within a decorative cartouche. Weight 96 grams, 3 troy ounces. Height 13 cms. London 1748. Made by Samuel Wood, a well known maker of cruets and castors.
This lovely silver pepper is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The pierced top has no faults. The engraved armorial is still crisp. The silver marks are well struck and the top collar is part marked. All in order as you’d expect from a good quality antique piece of silver.

Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
