A good pair of antique sterling silver salver of plain design with a shaped shell border. Uninscribed. These small size trays are often referred to as waiters and are ideal for use with small objects such as glasses and bottles. Weight 234 and 238 grams, total 472 grams, 15.17 troy ounces. Diameter 16.5 cms. Height 2.5 cms. London 1740. Maker John Tuite.
These lovely antique salvers are in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The silver marks are matching, clear and easy to read. The centres are firm and do not appear to have been erased. There are some very minor dinks to the top surface, very minimal.
