The rectangular mahogany top retains a good colour and patina and is fitted with a thumb-nail moulding. The full length oak lined drawer with a brushing slide retains its original handles, lock and escutcheon. The 'Chinese' Chippendale blind fret decoration to the frieze is quite intricate and has an unusually wide frieze above open fret spandrels and four blind fret legs, that have been chamfered on the inside and stand on block feet.
