George III/IV period mahogany stick barometer by M. Maggi: the silvered register fitted with an alcohol thermometer, behind a glazed door. With an angled pediment and a domed cistern-cover with an ebony and bone paterae. The case with a moulded edge and ebony line inlay. M Maggi (sometimes Maggy) is known to have been working in Exeter between about 1825 and 1850.
In very good condition, fully restored and in working order.
