George III period bow-fronted chest of drawers in mahogany of particularly rich figure and colour; the top and drawer-fronts with paired veneers and tulipwood and boxwood cross-grained borders, on slender splayed feet with a serpentine apron-piece; the fine quality oak linings with old but not original gilded-brass oval-plate handles. Circa 1800.
In good condition - there is some shrinkage along the grain of the well-figured timber on the top but that is to be expected in a piece of this age.
