Favourite Item
An antique horn drinking cup with a solid sterling silver mount. Hand engraved monogram to the front. Good antique colour. Contains 190 ml. Height 9.3 cms. Diameter 7 cms (top), 4.7 cms (base). Makers mark only – probably for Joseph Pready. Circa 1780.
This attractive horn beaker is in used condition. No restoration. The engraved monogram is crisp. Makers mark only. The silver mount moves around a bit where it has detached from the retaining pins; there is a fault in the silver adjacent to the makers mark (see photo). The horn has a couple of wear marks below the rim and has a couple of surface frits around the base, all shown in the bottom photo.

Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
