An antique sterling silver drinking tankard of baluster shape and having shaped scroll handle. With pretty embossed decoration deeply chased with flowers and leaves. To the front there is a hand engraved crest. Gilt interior. Weight 320 grams, 10.2 troy ounces. Height 13.5 cms. Contains 1 pint. London 1797. Maker AB.
This attractive silver mug is in good condition with no damage or restoration. The decoration and gilded interior are 19th century. Inside at the bottom there is a small split which was in the original manufacture. The tankard has been tested and does not leak. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
