A good antique sterling silver mug of baluster form with a cast scroll and acanthus leaf handle. Classic plain style. To the front there is a hand engraved monogram of entwined initials in old fashioned script. Contains 450 ml. Weight 331 grams, 10.6 troy ounces. Height 12.5 cms. Spread 12 cms. Diameter 8 cms (top), 8.5 cms (base). London 1772. Maker Francis Crump.
This useful silver tankard is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. The silver marks are crisp and easy to read. The engraving is not worn.
