An attractive antique silver salver of serpentine form raised on four splay feet. Plain design with a bright cut engraved border and decorative hand engraved panel. To the centre there is an unusual double armorial. Weight 155 grams, 5 troy ounces. Height 2.2 cms. Length 17.5 cms. Width 12 cms. London 1791. Maker Henry Chawner.
This useful silver stand is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. The silver marks are crisp and easy to read. The engraving is sharp. On the base there is a small fault in the manufacture (see photo) which is not visible on the top. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
