Coronation of George IV, bronze medal, 1821, by Thomason and Jones, laureate draped but of George IV within ornate border of roses thistles and shamrocks, rev. George seated on a throne being crowned by Britannia, Scotia and Hibernia, 54 mm, (BHM. 1091). Minor surface marks, otherwise good very fine.

Carlisle in his,"A Memoir of the Life and works of William Wyon" claims that this piece was by William Wyon but that he was dissatisfied with the work. Thomason states in his "Memoirs," that a gold example was given to the King.
