A plaster figure holding a lamp, in the manner of Hopper, possibly a Greek Goddess(?) Signed to the back of the base Thomas Greenhill, 460 Strand. He is listed in trade directories at that address in the 1820s and had moved by the 1830s. The figure has one or two minor nicks etc, it has been electrified at some time and the lamp, which appears to be partly the original argand lamp, has been altered. It is mounted on a later thin marble base. A rare piece and somewhat smaller than most plaster lamp figures such as those by Hopper.
