A superb antique sterling silver teapot of circular form with a pedestal foot and decorative silver handle. Good gauge silver and excellent manufacture. Having a central band of embossed flowers and scrolls and a pretty cast silver lid finial. Contains 675 ml. Weight 734 grams, 23.6 troy ounces. Height 14.5 cms. Spread 25.5 cms. London 1826. Maker John Bridge of the esteemed Rundell, Bridge and Rundell partnership.
This lovely teapot is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. The silver marks are clear and easy to read. The embossed decoration is sharp and well defined. This teapot has been tested for water retention and does not leak. It pours beautifully. A delightful pot.
