An unusual late 18th century Georgian mahogany nine drawer bow front chest.
The chest has a cross banded top with box wood edges and fan inlays in the front corners.
The nine drawers consist of two long drawers, six smaller drawers at each side of a slim centre drawer that has a single door cupboard underneath.
The slim centre drawer has a secret drawer behind and is accessed when the slim drawer is removed.
The drawers have thick heavy quality oak linings, a satin wood cock bead edge and original oval brass handles.
The drawer fronts are mahogany with a cross banded edge and a box wood inlay.
The chest stands on short French feet with a shaped apron to the front and sides.
The chest is in good condition and has been sympathetically restored. (Circa 1795)
