A mid 19th century mahogany Georgian design serpentine shaped serving table or sideboard.
The sideboard has a figured mahogany top with a boxwood line inlay and a rounded edge.
The table has three drawers that are boxwood edged and inlaid, and they have original octagonal brass handles and oak drawer linings.
The sideboard stands on square tapering legs and has block toes, the front legs have a shell inlay at the top and all four are boxwood line inlaid.
The sideboard is made from excellent quality mahogany and probably made by one of the Edinburgh cabinet maker's, the distinctive circular inlay at the top of each leg is an Edinburgh trade mark.
