Look at what I found on the Online Galleries website!
The chest has three oak and lined drawers with original brass swan neck handles and the top drawer is mahogany lined with original handles and is fitted out as a dressing table.
The chest has a pair of rests that pull out so that the fitted top drawer has support.
The top drawer has a baize brushing slide to the top which can lift up to be used as a book rest and the slide pushes back to reveal a compartmentalised drawer.
The drawer has a bevelled dressing mirror in the centre, four lidded mahogany boxes to the right and a cravat pin cushion.
To the far right hand side edge of the drawer is a swivel pen tray and at the back right two compartments.
The left hand side of the drawer has a large lidded compartment, a razor storage rack, to the back two open compartments and the drawer is all made of mahogany.
The three lower drawers are graduated in depth, the smallest is divided inside by oak partitions.
The chest stands on bracket shaped feet and has a half round moulded edge to the top.
The chest is in good condition and has had the polish sympathetically restored, though the drawers have old replacement brass locks.
