Strongbox by Charles Fourdrinier, The Star, No. 20, the corner of Craig’s Court, Charing Cross (London). The top opens with brass stop hinges to a polished interior. Within the top is a hinged document storage area and the London maker’s label. The box has a substantial lock and is brass bound around for greater strength. To the sides are inset, folding, military style brass carrying handles. Now stands upon a base made with high Georgian style moulded legs.
