The case has well-figured rosewood veneers, the moulded top with a countersunk brass handle, over arched brass-edged glasses to the two sides. The locking front door has brass-set canted corners, and the locking rear door is also glazed.
The 7cm arched silvered Roman dial is signed Robt. Bryson, Edinburgh, with the original matching blued steel moon hands.
The eight day single fusee movement has shaped plates, and a locking pendulum for transit.
