The table has a leather writing surface, the top of which hinges and has an adjustable stand so that it can be used as a reading or a music stand.
To the right hand side is a mahogany lined drawer with compartments to take inkwells and pens and with a dummy drawer to the front and the left side all with original brass handles.
The table has a face screen that slides up from the back edge to screen lady's faces from the heat of an open fire.
The table stands on four square tapered legs with original brass barrel casters.
The table is in good condition with an old replaced leather writing surface and a couple of repairs to the veneer at the top edge of the screen. (Circa 1790)
