A georgian silver Argyle made in 1804.
Originally commissioned by the Duke of Argyle,these were made to keep the gravy warm.The innner tube is filled with burning coals and the surround is filled with gravy.Hallmarked underneath(shown) , inside the cover, the inner tube and the pull off cover of the inner tube.Dark brown fruitwood handle and finial.21cm long, spout to handle
