The Serving Slice has a single struck Hourglass pattern handle, which is attached to the blade with a cast mythical dolphin moulding. The shaped blade has a thread edge and the centre is beautifully pierced and chased with another Dolphin, surrounded by pluming scrolls and an exotic bird motif. The slice is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse. Serving Slices from Glasgow, of this date, are particularly rare and this is a most unusual design.

Length: 11.25 inches, 28.13cm
Width of blade: 2.75 inches, 6.88cm.
Weight: 5oz.
