Item Description / Dealer Expertise

A wonderful country walking stick, fashioned from a branch of an unusual gnarled wood, with a hand-grip formed from a crook in the branch. The stick appears to be made from an exotic, and very heavy, non-European hardwood, which could indicate it is possibly a soldier's or sailor's folk piece.
English, mid 19th century.
