This exquisite, 18 karat gold shotgun was decorated by the acclaimed British jeweller, David Morris. The company create luxury jewellery and timepieces for the British royal family, for major celebrities and commissions, including the James Bond film franchise.

The shotgun is lavishly decorated with the gemstone, lapis lazuli, fine mother of pearl, and a total of 954 diamonds (34,2ct). The gun is not designed to be used – its shooting mechanism has been disabled – but rather, to be enjoyed as an impressive display piece.

Lapis lazuli decorates the gun’s stock, grip and forearm. These are then further ornamented by panels of mother of pearl, gold lattice-work, and inlaid diamonds. A gold tiger decorates the area above the trigger, and the hammer is encrusted with diamonds. The gun’s gold barrel is studded with diamonds, and features a lapis and mother of pearl muzzle. The gun is displayed on a gold stand within a red case. Rock crystal (quartz) has been overlaid onto mirror to decorate the case floor, creating a beautiful, reflective surface. This case is signed, ‘David Morris’, and stamped with the French 18 karat gold hallmark, suggesting that the gun is of Belgian origin.
