'Urbium Londini et West-Monasterii nec non Suburbii Southwark accurata Ichnographia ... usque ad A. 1736...Londinensis...edita curis Homannianorum Heredum. C.P.S.C.M.// Neuster Grundriss der Staedte London und West-Munster, samt der Vorstadt Southwark...bis zu dem Jahr 1736...Getreulich aus dem Londonischen Original genommen und zum Stich befordert von Homannischen Erben..' [A new plan der Cities of London and Westminster, including of the suburb of Southwark...up to the year of 1736...accurately taken from the London original and engraved by Homann Heirs].

One of the most decorative and detailed plans of London, published by Johann Baptist Homann's successors known as Homann Heirs. The engraving shows a beautiful large cartouche with the Royal Coats of Arms and title in Latin and German; an additional explanation about horse drawn carriages, their taxation and other related matters; a large image of St. Paul's Cathedral and the Royal Bourse as well as two additional vignettes showing St. James' Square and Custom House. Though the names of streets and places are all in English, the descriptive text is in German and Latin.

three joint sheets; indistinctive platemarks; small margins; some age browning; a few very faint stains; some discolouring in the joints; 3 very small tears in the folds, stopping at neatline and not affecting image; a few expertly executed paper repairs not affecting value of the engraving.
