A novelty fox-hunting timepiece, polypatinated brass with blue enamelled nails, the enamelled dial inscribed with the retailers name, H. Greaves, New Street, Birmingham. French movement within an English case. Circa 1880.
Henry Greaves were silversmiths at New Street Birmingham around the turn of the 19th century stocking their own wares and bought in fancy goods.
