Sandalwood overlaid with ivory and tortoiseshell. The domed lid with ivory strap-work, pierced ivory panels engraved and highlighted with lac and silvered mounts which is repeated to all four sides. The lid opens to a sandalwood interior and the box stands upon carved paw feet. A fine box with very minor damage to the pierced panels.
