The cabinet is rather more restrained than the English counterparts that were made by Wilkinson of London which were almost over embellished with brass and ormolu. This cabinet has the most wonderful colour and patina, with the original lock stamped 'G. Glesso & Co. Dublin'. The satinwood interior sits above the old mercury plate resting on gilt brass feet.
