Iron tsuba Japan, Edo-period, naga-marugata form, decor with two crossing sunhats. This decor comes from the family-arms of the famous sword-fighter Yagyu. In this variation you see two crossing rush-hats. Warriors wear this hats not only against rain and sun, they also keep their privacy in the streets. Two hitsu, sekigane are still present.
