A very fine walnut and marquetry longcase clock of one month duration. 11" square brass dial with engraved border, matted centre, silvered chapter ring and spandrels, subsidiary seconds, calendar aperture. The five pillar movement with outside count wheel striking on a bell. The fine case with very original bird and flower marquetry. The birds have inlaid pewter for their eyes. The clock has been fully overhauled and the case restored. Photographs of the original state and the work done are available.
Isaac Goddard was apprenticed in 1675 and a member of Clockmakers Company from 1684 to 1699.
