An elegant George III period longcase clock in a restrained and well-proportioned case of architectural design, veneered in well-figured mahogany which has achieved an excellent colour and patination. The case which resembles closely those of Vulliamy stands only 6ft 8 inch in height.

The square brass dial is nicely engraved and has a silvered finish and strike/silent lever above XII. The high quality five pillar movement has dead beat escapement and hour strike on a bell.

Height: 80 in (204 cm)

* James Warne is listed on page 813 of Brian Loomes’ Clockmaker of the World – 21st Century edition. He was working in St Pancras, London from 1763 until 1775
