Finely painted on plaster and highlighted with fine gilding within a papier mache frame with ormolu mount and acanthus leaf hanger. The reverse of the silhouette is inscribed: Henry Wilson Lardner/Painted the 21st of March the day he completed his sixteenth year/1820/Miers fecit.
Henry Wilson Lardner was baptised on the 11th May 1804. He was the son of James and Harriet Lardner of East Teignmouth, Devon.
