The elegant green lacquer case decorated with pagodas, flowers and a ship in the chinoiserie taste. The arched top hood with chamfered sides is decorated with floral designs.
The 7 inch silvered brass arched dial has a subsidiary seconds dial below XII and the maker’s signature is engraved in the arch above XII.
The 8-day brass timepiece movement has 4 knopped pillars and anchor escapement.

* John Flook was born in Bristol. He married in 1714 and was made free of the Clockmakers’ Company in 1747. He worked in London between 1754 – 1767.
