Ewer. Pitcher. Jug. Arts & Crafts.
Martin Brothers stoneware ewer. A robustly potted ewer dating from the early Southall period, but in style leaning back to the more Gothic form of the Fulham period. The style and marks suggest c.1877.
The base has an inscribed number 73 which is possibly the shape number from the Fawcett sketchbook.
