An elegant but imposing early 1900s solid brass bracket clock in an immaculate polished and lacquered solid brass case of Regency styling.

The break-arch case stands 16 inches high to the brass ball mounted on the pediment. The dial is flanked with reeded quarter pilasters over fish-scale material-backed frets. The sides also have arch fretwork panels, as does the rear door. The case is mounted on brass bun feet.

The two train eight day movement is signed for Peerless, and numbered 208445, striking the hours and the passing of the half hours on a coiled gong.

The name Peerless on a movement is an indication of high quality. The Peerless trademark is the trademark of Mathias Bäuerle, Germany. According to Karl Kochmann this trademark was registered in 1922, although the company predates this and had significant production in the early 1900s.

The silvered 6-inch dial has black Roman numerals within a minute track. The dial is set behind a hinged bezel fitted with beveled glass.

Blued steel hands.
The clock has been overhauled and is guaranteed for 3 years.

Price includes delivery within mainland UK.
