This is a stylish Silver Mantel clock made in the Art Deco style
It has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1929 and also maker for DB (these are rubbed)
The clock has an Eight day movement with a lever escapement wound and set from the back.
The white enamel dial has attractive blue steel hands and is marked with an 8 to denote an 8 day mechanism. The dial is also signed “Swiss Made” and is in 70% mint condition – there is a faint crazed hairline cluster going around the outer edge of the dial but you do need an eye glass to see this.
The silver clock has a typical mantel clock design but with stylish well defined edges and panels. The clock has engine turning on all the panels. The clock sits on 4 corner feet.
The clock backed with wood and is weighted so it feels incredibly heavy and in fact weighs 933g. The silver is in 95% mint condition – excellent condition throughout.
The clock measures 17cm wide x 4.5cm deep x 11cm high
