Large Victorian Walnut Antique Bookcase.
This is a splendid example of a large Victorian antique bookcase made from walnut, circa 1890. It has a moulded cornice above three glazed moulded doors with key and working locks. The interior of each section has three adjustable shelves. The lower section of the antique bookcase has a rectangular moulded top above three drawers with brass handles and three cupboard doors with moulded edges. Each cupboard interior has a single removable shelf and has been lined in a green baize at some point in its history. It stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into three sections for ease of removal. It is a warm light to medium walnut with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
