An attractive, Louis XV style waisted French mantel clock, having a rosewood case inlaid with floral boxwood marquetry decoration. It has brass mounts, an embossed bezel with a a bevel edge convex glass and an enamel dial. It has an 8 day movement that strikes the hours and halves on a gong and was made by A.D. Mougin of Paris, it is numbered 44944 and is stamped A & N which means the clock was retailed through The Army and Navy Stores.
The case is in excellent original condition, the brasswork is original and untouched retaining a lovely aged patina. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
