Item Description / Dealer Expertise
A fine example of a late 19th century Victorian oak sideboard.
The sideboard comprises a three oak lined drawer base with gilded brass handles and a shelved mirror back, a cupboard door at each end the doors with marquetry scenes of griffons and snakes surrounding an urn inlaid onto an ebony veneer.
The centre of the base has a open compartment with a decorative rail across the front with turned ebonised supports. The cupboards have a set of three sliding trays in the left hand side and a 'Lazy Susan' and wine rack in the right hand side.
The mirror back has two inlaid decorative marquetry panels and a carved pediment.
The side board is of exceptional quality and in good original condition. (Circa 1880)
