Circa 1750, late George II toilet mirror. The simply shaped mirror with arched top and rounded corners within a carved gilded slip, supported by 2 tapering uprights with cast brass butterfly screws. Below the mirror is a simple mahogany base with chequered inlaid fore edge, a simple long drawer with 2 axe head drop handles and a very stylish cast brass escutcheon with open fretwork. The mirror stands on 4 squat ogee bracket feet. Dainty proportions.
