This Lithograph is by the artist Charles-Marie Bouton, an accomplished artist who was co-inventor of the Diorama - large displays of paintings on translucent materials using lighting effects to produce an illusion of movement and reality. He moved to Britain permanently in the early 1830s, where he produced many studies of London.
