Look at what I found on the Online Galleries website!
The front of the press is cross banded in satinwood and has box wood and ebony inlays.
The press has a pair of bow doors with recessed panels and shaped corners and veneered with flame mahogany.
The interior has four bow linen trays that are mahogany with cross banded mahogany fronts.
The base has two short drawers over two long drawers that are mahogany lined and have gilt brass oval handles.
The press stands on shaped bracket feet and has a dental cornice and breaks down into three pieces.
The press has an oval metal maker's label on the back 'Heal & Son 196 Tottenham C Road London'.
Heal & Son were established in 1810 and moved to Tottenham Court Road in London around 1833.
The press is in good condition and has had the polish sympathetically restored.
The lock to the doors is a replacement and the oval brass handles are 19th century replacements.
